All skulls are painted and decorated with simulated raptor feathers (i.e. hawk, eagle or genuine wild turkey feathers), leather, glass, stone, bone and wood beads. Claw or tooth of choice hung by leather or beaded thong. Choices include Bear, Wolf, Badger, Lynx, Cougar, Bobcat and Coyote claw (s) or tooth (teeth). Price is $65.00 for a single tooth or claw necklace. Artist will include limited number of beads free of charge. Call for a price quote for more elaborate beadwork. For more then one claw or tooth follow this simple formula: add $50.00 per additional claw or tooth. For example a necklace consisting of 5 bear claws would cost $265.00. The sole exception to this pricing method are coyote claws or teeth which are only $20.00 per claw or tooth.
Chokers are made to length with center pieces made of abalone, chonk, deer or elk antler with beaded drop. Strands are made from buffalo bone hair-pipe, glass, stone, bone, metal and wooden beads. Braided leather end ties. Price is $75.00 per choker. Other materials which may be used: Ermine tails hung from center piece - additional $20.00 per tail. Claw or tooth hung from center piece - additional $50.00 per claw or tooth. Above price quote is for 3-stranded choker. For additional strands add $15.00 per strand.
Medicine pouches are constructed of commercially tanned elk skin or brain tanned leather. (Other types of leather available upon request). May be plain or fringed, decorated as requested. Small pouch (size 3 1/4" x 2 1/4") , Commercial tanned - $15.00 with or without fringe; Brain tanned - $20.00 with or without fringe. Medium pouch (size 3" x 4"), Commercial tanned - $20.00 with or without fringe; Brain tanned - $25.00 with or without fringe. Large pouch (size 4" x 5"), Commercial tanned - $30.00 with or without fringe; Brain tanned - $35.00 with or without fringe. Any size pouch maybe designed per customer’s request. Shirts made of elk skin. Deer skin may be used depending on fitted size. Plain elk skin shirts start at $550.00. Fringe may be straight cut or V-shaped. For beaded shoulder strips add $400.00, decorative ermine tails add $20.00 per tail. See Options List for other decorations.
Standard lance is constructed using specified point of iron, obsidian, flint or bone (see below). Point is secured with genuine sinew, decorated with fur of choice - subject to availability (see Options List), leather, simulated raptor feathers i.e. hawk, eagle or genuine wild turkey, glass beads and/or brass tacks. Coupe stick constructed of bent willow shaft, wrapped with leather and rabbit fur. Decorated with genuine wild turkey, goose, pheasant, grouse or duck feathers. Glass beads, buffalo horn or bone hair-pipe, horse hair and leather. (Picture forthcoming). Price is $275.00.
Standard war shield approximately 24" across. Constructed of framed willow hoop covered with leather hide and decorated. Painted center piece specified by customer. Two basic types available : Stone-headed with wooden handle and Buffalo jaw bone with metal or bone points. Decorated with fur, leather, feathers, and horse hair. All knives are constructed with antler or bone handle. Wrapped with genuine animal sinew for added strength. Handles and blades hand painted or plain, no extra charge. Antler handled knives with bone blade $125.00; with flint blade $300.00; with obsidian blade $300.00. Bear jaw handled knives with bone blade $325.00; with *Other jaw bone handles may be substituted if available (e.g., cougar, wolf, etc.). Leather knife sheaths made from commercial or brain tanned deer or elk hide are also available with any above knife or for your existing knife. All the breastplates are constructed only of buffalo bone hairpipe, glass, stone, metal, bone or wood beads. Authentic feathers and leather trimmings. Antiqued, dyed or natural hairpipe. Vintage beads used when requested. Breastplate measures approximately 20" x 12". Standard price is $600.00.
Different Indian tribes had different customs concerning the “Rites of Passage” from boy to manhood and girl to womanhood. Mothers would often create special necklaces for their sons or daughters to wear during their respective “passage”. Often times a mother would construct for her son a necklace bearing special claws, teeth, bones or stones to insure the wearer good fortune in the hunt or battle. For daughters she used mostly stone, glass, wood or bone beads, although certain young women gained as much status as a warrior as a man. You may have specific materials
in mind for your own “Rites of Passage” amulet. See options list (below on
this page). All amulet necklaces are crafted on a leather thong with stone or beads of your choice. Price is $65.00. All battle amulets using claws, teeth and/or beads follow the $50.00 per claw, tooth or elk ivory additional cost. (Picture forthcoming).

Modern or authentic pigmented dyes. Modern medium paints provide more vivid colors and contrasts while traditional hand made paints and dyes are not as sharp but lend more authenticity to the finished creation. The traditional paints are more expensive and must be created prior to each project. The application of either medium depends solely on the individuals artistic taste and cost factor.
